Our first meal at the Ritz-Carlton ended up at the Banyan Tree as we didn’t really know where else to go. As with all resorts, the meals are dear, but the food was tasty. Not that I couldn’t get the same meal elsewhere in a non-resort location, but they suck you in and suck you for your hip pocket some more. Nothing much more to say apart from go here only when you have run out of options or don’t want to venture out from the Ritz-Carlton.

Amazing!. Just went to the Banyan Tree last month and it was amazing! Our party of four started off with our own appetizer trios which meant we had a taste of everything on the appetizer menu and we couldn’t decide which was our favorite, everything was just so delicious. I think the goat cheese with strawberries and lavender may have just edged out the rest. The dinner entrees were also just as delicious, but I was most surprised by the ocean trout. I didn’t think I would like it, but it was my favorite, and this from a non-fish eater. At this point, our meal would already have been out of this world, but then it was time for dessert. As a certified chocoholic, the chocolate tasting dessert was right up my alley, but the apple cider beignets and vanilla cheesecake were just as wonderful, and I didn’t know they make all their own ice creams and sorbets. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff just as great. The servers were all very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and Chef Ryan even came out to our table to describe some of the dishes. The Banyan Tree is hands-down, THE best restaurant, not just on Maui, but in Hawaii!
