Over the past week I picked up sandwiches from 808 Deli in 3 occasions. It was located about 100 yards from my condo, so it was extremely convenient.I ordered a turkey on rye, tuna in rye, a. Bacon egg and cheese and best of all a chicken salad on rye. All were terrific!! 808’s menu has a large variety of hot and cold suns and wraps. Salads were huge!!!Plenty of good looking sides, chips and drinks.808 can get busy from 11:30 to 1:00. My longest wait was only 15 minutes on a weekday at 11:30 when the line was long. While there were only 3 employees they know how to crank out the sandwiches.There are a couple tables in case you would like to eat at the restaurant. It might seat 15 people.If you’re looking for a great sandwich place in South Kihei 808 is the place!!
The Snickers pudding was one of the best desserts I’ve had in my life. The Rooster panini had the perfect amount of heat. The chicken mango chutney panini was very good. I’m going to make this a go-to spot next time I’m in maui.
This was a great place to grab lunch on the way to the beach or back to the condo. It was always fairly fast and consistently good. I know it was consistent because I had the red rooster everyday. Had some kick but it was sure delicious. The cobb salad was great too. Not disappointed with anything however it was hard to find something without any zip (kinda hot for the kids).

Best food in Maui. We spent 10 days in Maui, and this was by far the best food we had. Such a simple place serving sandwiches, yet these were the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. Hyperbole? Maybe, but that’s how I feel at this point in time. I live in New Orleans and have eaten some great poboys, but I would put this above all else. It’s really a shame too in that the more elegant, expensive restaurants we dined at while here were no good (even though they had decent ratings), yet a small sandwich shop showed them all up.
Definitely GF friendly. Delicious GF sandwiches and salad for a great prices. Make the stop, it’s worth it.
