Excellent food and service. For the last night, we decided to do something special, so we ended up at Ferrraro’s. It was the best place we ate in Maui. We were greeted promptly by several people at the restaurant. We had the Beef Carppacio appetizer. It was delicious. For entree, we ordered the Frutti di Mare (seafood pasta). It was so tasty and fresh. The portion size for both appetizer and entrees were generous. The view was an ocean view. We would return to Ferraro’s on our next trip to Maui.
LED menus are key for this intimate outdoor dining experience at the Four Seasons Wailea. Bring a modest appetite for an upscale Italian experience, and don’t be shy about dietary limits, Ferraro’s has a gluten free menu and plenty of vegan choices, just ask your server. Expect a heavy crowd just before sunset, and a bit of a wait through the night, but it’s worth at least one visit for a romantic dinner under the stars…
The view was great. The food was mediocre. The waiter was very snooty and barely paid any attention to us after we wouldn’t pay $20 for bottled water. I’d rather go to mama’s.
Disappointment. What a disappointment. We had reservations for 6:30 when we got there we were told they had a lot of walk-ins and we would be delayed 30 minutes. We could wait in the bar. Really? When seated we waited a good 5 minutes for a menu. Don’t feel sorry for us as we passed the time watching the four children running around screaming at their parent’s table next to us. The service IS NOT a four star hotel service. The food was not fantastic (I expect that for the price) and if they wanted to provide a positive experience they should have offered to at a minimum buy us a drink while we waited for their mistake to clear out from out table.
Ate there during recent stay at Four Seasons. Food is consistently excellent. Prices are typical of Four Seasons restaurants but the service and the view can dampen the pain of a $34 price for Pappardelle(house made) Bolognese. I think that the food is excellent and consistent. Great choice for that special dinner!
INCREDIBLE. The views, the food, the service–all impeccable. Everything we had from bread and olives to soup, salad, pasta, and dessert was perfect. Go a little before sunset–this was one of the best views on Maui.We went for our one-year anniversary dinner, and it was beautiful.
