All the meals hat we ate were palatable and we’ve been served very well. Still the ambiance is important for me and that’s what you don’t get here. When I’m in Hawaii, I want to be able to gaze at the gorgeous Hawaiian coast. So 4 is good enough.
This evening I had most tender and delicious octopus that I have tasted. The ahi was perfectly cooked and the wine marching was superb. My husband raved over the Rib Eye staying that it was the one of the best steaks he had ever encountered. It’s not a ‘cheap’ meal however the food was worth every cent if you are after flavour and quality over quantity.

Extremely Fresh, Inventive Cuisine. Never before have I had kale that was so well-prepared, not tough to swallow and tasted so ‘right’ that I wanted a whole salad of it. I don’t know how they did it, but they did… A great starter.Actually, the whole meal was along that line: Fresh, locally sourced ingredients, served in inventive, but simple ways. The flavors of the food were allowed to shine without getting too crazy with infusions, flavor combinations, etc. The pork dumplings were more like meatballs, but delicious. Most of the dishes are ‘tapas’ style and very small, so I would recommend ordering more than a few if you’re looking to fill up. The octopus was heavenly. Not rubbery, fresh and braised. Almost no chewy texture that so many other preps of octopus, almost tasting like a piece of nicely cooked filet. Meaty. Very good stuff.I also had their shaved ice to finish, but it fell quite flat since I had gone to Uluani’s earlier that day for the BEST SHAVED ICE OF MY LIFE. Ka’Ana did a decent job with it however and I’d recommend it anyway. I also had a few bites of the chocolate sundae… And it was delicious.Great, large, midcentury modern style dining room. Brand new property and the staff is energized with a relaxed island aesthetic of serving. I liked everything about this eatery.
