Best sushi I’ve ever had the pleasure to taste!Hiro is the sole sushi chef of this place of 18 years. Amazing. The fish is fresh, mostly from Hawaiian waters, as well as from Japan and Southern Cali area. It is to die for!King Salmon was a taste unlike any other salmon I’ve had, and the toro is absolutely delectable. Order the omakase (chef’s cut) mixed sushi; Hiro chooses the best cuts for this.Everyone by the end of the night (there were 8 remaining guests) was chatting together, and I definitely see why everyone always comes back.

To be fair, I didn’t have a reservation. Saw good reviews and wanted to go. The kids melted down so I went over and asked about takeout. I was told they don’t do takeout. Place was half empty so I said I’d check in with my husband about coming over. Then was told they were sold out. Cooler FULL of fish, 12 open spots…really? Think they just wanted to close by 8:30. Food may be good but I am a Southern girl and that’s just plain rude.
