We decided to hit the road and have a change from the resort restaurants and we weren’t disappointed when we found Tommy’s.We hadn’t reserved which is strongly recommended for the weekend but they didn’t hesitate to accommodate us.Service from start to finish was excellent. My wife had the guava basted melt in your mouth ribs while I had the Thai prawns and scallops. Of course we made sure we kept some space for the cholesterol busting desserts which were ‘to die for’!We’ve already made a booking for Saturday evening.
2nd time here but first review. Great meal just like last year. Ahi Tuna Taco appetizer was fantastic, Bungalow salad also great, Ceasar salad good not great. Ribs were superb, Red Snapper also superb. Service was top notch and atmosphere was great. One of our best South Maui meals.
Another relaxing place to dine on the Big Island. It’s all about watching the sunset, drinking cocktails then preparing yourself for some Hawaiian dining. If you can sit outside on the balcony (unless it’s humid) and take in the pleasant surroundings. ‘Its a celebration of the island lifestyle. A place that is always full of warm smiles, gentle laughter and relaxed conversation.’Some of my favorites: World Famous Coconut @Shrimp, Seared Scallop Sliders, House Roasted Pulled Pork Quesadilla, Macadamia Nut Encrusted Snapper. All washed down with a nice rich Spanish Rose.
SPEED DINING. Rule 101 : Always let your customers finish a course BEFORE you bring out the next one…..Seriously people, i would have thought this was the most basic of all restaurant rules… and yet here on this island paradise…. word has obviously not reached this place….Even despite being seated at 8.30 (we were out by 9.10… what does that tell you), and told that everything on the menu was ‘amazing’….. it sadly wasn’t.Half way through our first course (appetizers) they brought out our main course….. simple as that……. I note that they are associated with a clothes store, i would stick with what they know….
I have used them for meetings. They never fail!!! Thanks Carol!
Great food. One of our favorite meals
Very comfortable happy hour at the bar, with the best martinis we have found in Wailea! Excellent service, fair prices and surprisingly good appetizers. We have a new favorite here, so please save us a Table42!
