Had to do a luau while in Hawaii. Overall, we were not too terribly impressed with this one. The check in was very confusing. I secured a spot over the phone a few days prior to going. No one was sure to where we checked in. After a few different booths/workers they found our reservation and checked us in. The show was interesting and fun to see. I was most excited for the Hawaiian feast. This one you get to actually see the pig be digged up. They state this is the one you eat, but literally 10 minutes of digging it up it is already sliced and ready to serve. So, not sure. May actually be the pig from the previous day. The poi wasn’t too terrible. The rest of the food was just generic hotel food. Nothing special. Most of it was lack luster in flavor. The cocktails were a tad watered down and not too boozy. The location was very pretty and right on the water. I would say to do your research before picking a luau. And book in 1-2 months in advance. We did not realize they book up that soon. So this is the one we ended up at. Would try a different one if you have a chance!

Enjoyed it. Although we have never been to a laua we did enjoy it the grounds are pristine. Great pours just wish it wasn’t bottom shelf liquor, okay food except my pork is better and so is my daughter’s potato mac. Steak was very good, nice selection. There was plenty to eat and really enjoyed the entertainment. Met some fun people. All in all a good experience

Great check in process. You are checked in, given a seat assignment, and then can roam the enormous property and beach until the luau starts. Others make you wait in line until they open. Good show for young children. Food is less than desirable, as it appears to have been prepared many hours before the event.
