Nice restaurant with good service! They have separate waiters for each table. The place has a nice layout, it sets the theme of being on a boat! We ordered the shrimp po boy and fish tacos. The food was pretty good. Really loved the chips and the shrimps! The bread on the shrimp po boy was abit overpowering. The fish tacos were absolutely delish! They also have hot sauce on the tables, which tasted really good with the tacos. It came with free corn chips and a dip, which didnt go well with the tacos. We ordered two drinks and depending on what you order, you could keep the glass – which was a bonus! Nonetheless, there was very good service and the food was quite good!
Made reservations and when we showed up the place was not very busy. They crammed a party of 7 into a 4 person both. The servers were very friendly. We ordered appetizers and they forgot one. When the entrees showed up they forgot one of the salads and the lettuce and tomatoes for a burger. They never took away the appetizer plates so it was difficult to find room for the entrees when they arrived. The last appetizer finally showed up when everyone was almost done eating. The manager stopped by the table and asked how thing were going… everyone just gave him a blank stare. Then my wife explained our experience to him and he said he would take care of what he could. Overall the food was good just problems with organization. When the bill came the manager did help out a lot!!!! We were very thankful for that. I will give them another try at a later time.

I mean the food isn’t the greatest but it is what it is. I am a little surprised by the negativity here. The view was worth whatever it costs and the food was certainly edible. Its not fine dining its Bubba Gumps. I had the scampi sampler and it was not disappointing. Plus they were accommodating of 2 small children.
Food here is sub standard with small portions. Calamari was fried in oil that hadn’t been changed and instead of the small bits of calamari had mostly capsicum and jalapeno’s in batter. Only worth the visit for the Forrest Gump inspired bench outside
Stop here and you’ll be sorry…and hangry. I love Bubba Gump’s on the mainland. Here in Maui, it was my worst restaurant experience to date! Paid for two hour parking and nearly exceeded that time because it took that long to get our food. We didn’t get appetizers for an hour and our meals came out about ten minutes later. Our server was high or something because she couldn’t remember ANYTHING we requested and kept offering things we hadn’t asked for. The managers were not friendly and made just as many mistakes as our server. People had come and gone by the time we got water. AVOID this location at all costs. No…really…KEEP GOING!
Cajun style shrimp is lovely. We also ordered a seafood combination, turned out to be average. The pineapple cocktail was good. Service is not bad considering the busy lunch time. But overpriced.
