Lots of interesting and amazing dishes in a five course meal and dessert, friendly staff, fun tropical drinks, dinner by the ocean, and cool performances in between courses!

So with The Feast at Lele I broke my golden rule and dined before reading reviews. Thank goodness I did that because it was a fabulous meal and a great experience and I’m not sure I would have chosen LeLe after reading some of the other reviews. Our logic in choosing Lele was pretty simple. $100 per person on dinner is outrageous, but if we’re going to spend that $120 for what a couple locals told us was the best is worth it. We were right. If you really think about it the cost wasn’t nearly that high with an open bar and most everywhere charging upwards of $8 for a Mai Tai your quickly down to $70 and tht is more than reasonable for a dinner show, especially wih 5 star cuisine. Onto the food – The chips were good, but the salsa stole the show. I’ve never had a soy based salsa before, definitely will again. The first course was very good with the pork bein a bit salty for my liking (correctly seasoned for the dish) but using the poi to cut the saltiness made it delicious. The swordfish was a bit fishy, just a fish we normally wouldn’t order. The duck salad was delicious, and I really don’t care for duck alog with the scallops and the veggies. The ceviche was the best weve ever had the chicken wrapped in taro leaves was delicious. The third course was the seafood lovers course (of which I am not). All those aquatic lovers in our group ranted and raved about the third course. By the time we made it to the fourth course we were miserably stuffed. Te steak was one of the best steak dishes I’ve ever had and I could only handle three bites. My wife thought the shrimp were good but hardly ate any. For the land lover the fourth course is the best and well with saving a lot of room for. The steak was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Definitely something to save room for. Desert was good, but we could hardly taste it being so full. The show was was very entertaining and the dancers did a great job. As far as service goes we had a pair of servers with one providing good service and our other server, Miguel, doing a great job. Food was plentiful, drinks were plentiful and Miguel was always making sure we had whatever we needed. As far as the negative reviews others have posted I’m a bit perplexed as to how they could review Lele so negatively. To have a good experience you need to not be concerned with the price (you’re on vacation!) and remember that the food all ha a modern twist, but is based on traditional preparation methods. It’s a great meal, a great entertainment experience and overall a great time. I highly recommend you make a visit to The Feast at Lele!
