I love love love Fu Lin!!!!! I am a concierge amd have been to many restaurants here on Maui and this I recommend!!!!!! Truly Chinese from the owner to the cooks. Awesome ocean view and laid back atmosphere. Everything is fresh and amazing. Sometimes service is slow but always worth the wait!!!!
The food was not great; the service was poor; prices are high and the portion sizes were surprisingly small for what we are accustomed to at Chinese restaurants. Strongly recommend against patronizing this place!
The portion of their entree is the smallest I have ever seen in North American! I ordered a shrimp stir fry dish which hardly cover the bottom of plate. It is an over priced place that will never have returned customers and wrongly represents the quality of genuine Chinese food. Very disapointed!
My husband and I just arrived in Kaanapali and ate at Fu Lin. We thought the food was good. We had a seafood sizzling plate, chicken with black bean sauce and rice. The seafood and veggies tasted fresh and the black bean sauce was flavorful.
PUKE!. This was the worst Chinese food we have EVER tasted! We are local people who enjoy eating out. We will never again patronize this establishment or the other that the family owns. The Wor won ton mein was served lukewarm, with the noodles obviously sitting and soggy. The lemon chicken had no taste and was fatty. The beef brocolli was also served lukewarm. We were only the second party that came in for lunch and were almost completely ignored after tourists walked in. The drink we ordered with our meal did not come to the table until 15 minutes later and other tables (tourists) that walked in well after us were served before us. As a former food runner and cook, I was highly disappointed. We are not demanding customers and waited patiently the entire time. After requesting chopsticks and seeing the waiter, who had acknowledged this, doing other things, I stood up to get some on my own. The plates were covered in road dust and when we tried to exchange it, the waiter ignored us. The food was the absolute worst I have ever experienced when it comes to Chinese food. Even frozen Chinese food tastes better. Even had to stand up to get our check! Seems as if the local clientele, who would patronize this place year round, was completely ignored. I kid you not, the food was worse than Star Noodles! And that’s saying a lot!!!!
