We were staying in a Ka’anapali area and so Front Street was a great place to spend some time. I am obsessed with a hula pie, so Kimo’s was a must. I made reservations prior to our trip and asked for a nice table with a view. They did not disappoint me. We got a prime table upstairs overlooking the harbor. The upstairs is really lovely. Our server was personable and efficient. We both got drinks. My friend got a mai tai and I got a lava flow. Both were excellent. For appetizer we shared Kailua pork lettuce wraps and they were simply outstanding. For dinner I had a shrimp pasta and my got a mahi mahi. Again outstanding. Of course dessert was Hula pie which was just the right amount of frozen (some are frozen too solid to eat right away and we can’t wait). We really enjoyed our dinner here and would highly recommend Kimos.
Had the Filet Mignon-beautiful texture and wonderfully cooked! Wife had white fish with spicy glazed and mango salsa-another winner. For desert, had the Hula Pie—WOW! This monster was ice cream topped with chocolate and nuts on top of an Oreo cookie crust. Bring an army if you want to devour it! The table they put us at was upstairs looking out toward the ocean. Five stars, thumbs up, etc. I recommend, highly!
We had a group of 9. Sat somewhat quickly and drinks came out decently fast. I had the classic cheeseburger and I also tried the fish and chips from someone else’s plate. Cheeseburger had a good flavor and sauce. Fries were good. Fish and chips was decent but not great. Wife had chicken caesar and it was just okay. For the price, I would suggest another spot. Decent food still but not a place I’d visit again.
Absolutely amazing: the food was incredible, the view was breathtaking and the service was exceptional. My family’s favorite was the giant cake slice they received for their anniversary.
Our first time on the Island and we walked by several restaurants and we liked the view of this one. What we got besides the view was Great food! A must visit in Maui. Be sure to get the hula pie!
Some positives and negatives here. Kimo’s definitey has the tourist scene down… Not ideal to be in a tourist trap. However, it’s hard to beat a dinner on the beach with the sun setting. Prime rib 6/10 – one was undercooked and the other overcooked Parmesean crusted Ono 9/10Fries 9/10Lobster topped Mahi 7/10Ribs 8/10Hula pie 6/10 overhyped and doesn’t have a lot of flavor (and I like bland desserts)
Great food! I had the coconut shrimp app and the coconut crusted mahi mahi, it was delicious! The rice and veg sides were good too. This place is right on the water and has a gorgeous view!
