Food was good, chef’s showmanship was mediocre at best, and the hoods were so filthy I spent my entire meal wondering if the grease from the hood was going to drip onto my food or catch fire. If that’s how they keep the front of the house, I would hate to see the kitchen.
Overpriced and overrated! Did not try the hibachi grill but the suhi was terrible. The 69 roll was dissapointing.
Rude staff, table ready 45 minutes after reservation time. Hostess not fazed.
A restaurant whose time has come and GONE!. Don’t waste your time here, the food is mediocre for the price, the atmosphere dated and somewhat dirty…horrible urine smell upon entering and you leave smelling like you bathed in grease. The service was the worst yet and we eat out-ALOT. The chef performed as though he had done this a million times and wished he were somehwhere else. We didn’t come for the early bird specials but our waiter read us the riot act on early bird specials and coupons, hurried us the bill and rolled his eyes! Don’t waste your time…there are other restaurants with cleaner atmosphere, better service and better food.
I’ve been coming here since 1985, it’s stll great. Great food, equal service, consistent value. Would recommend for those who appreciate Japanese food. It s great to see this place hasn’t lost it’s edge…
Sushi bar was good. Prices reasonable. Service at bar was good.
Kobe, we had a problem…… We ate at the teppan yaki table and the presentation and food was good EXCEPT for the vegetables and what I saw crawling through them just as Chef was ready to slice and dice. I know it’s Hawaii and it happens but I there is an issue with cleanliness in this restaurant and I’ll leave it at that.
