Don’t waste your money!! I ordered grilled garlic mahi with brown rice and a salad so this already expensive plate went up a little more than a dollar for the healthier options. (I usually get the same thing from L & L and its 100 times better and cheaper, there’s one in Kapolei) the fish was breaded and maybe baked but I ant imagine it was grilled. It tasted like it was freezer burnt and it was mushy! It was so nasty I couldn’t even it half of the fish plank (and this is a meal I love! Just not from here!) my husband ordered the mahi mahi plate that was suppose to be breaded. The macaroni salad was good but again his fish was nasty! It had a better texture crust but the inside was mushy and gross and also tasted like cheap freezer fish! So after eating the salad and rice I threw away the fish and my kiddo shared a little pizza from pizza Corner (the Pizza Corner is awesome!) we ate outside the pizza place so when we were done I decided I wanted a refill since my food was a waste I at least wanted my money worth of something and she was if ok $1.94. Umm no! I said well I’d like a free one. We just got food from here and it was nasty and I threw it away she said we don’t give free refills. I told her that giving a free refill is the least you do for good customer service when someone tells u the food was so bad they threw it in the trash. But she just turned and walked away and I left with no refill. If you want good mahi or ahi go to L & L if u want something good right here at the resorts we know the pizza corner is very good and inexpensive but whatever u do don’t waste your money for the disappointment of this restaurant! Thanks!

Price is all relative. The food was good with generous portions. It’s higher than other Hawaiian BBQ’s I’ve been too. Given the prices of the other restaurants in the resort area, we were thankful to find a place that wasn’t going to tap $50 for two.

Okay, we liked this, but it is what it is. I guess it’s the Hawaiian version of the cheap Chinese place near my house. I have never been to another Hawaiian BBQ place, so I have nothing else to compare this to. However, I liked the novelty of getting a Hawiian plate lunch while on my vacation. Ko Olina Hawiian BBQ was clean, and the staff was friendly. Portion sizes were large. The food was fine, and hit the spot for a quick lunch away from our resort.

Ok for the price. If you want to escape from the high prices at the hotels across the street, this is an ok option. I didn’t care for curry sauce on my macaroni salad.
