Best Italian in Honolulu that I didn’t make. This is a very authentic-feeling Italian eatery. The wine and beer selection is excellent – we had a bottle of sangiovese, and our non-wine drinking party member had a morretti. The crostini con funghi were the highlights of the antipasti menu, being richly flavorful, though the caprese were also great. I had the tagliolini amatriciana, which was very good though about 85% as spciy as amatriciana ought to be (but then this is Hawaii). Two of us had the strangola, which was also great. The pasta with aragosta was somewhat unremarkable.All told, the experience was great. A small staff means this isn’t a place for a quick meal, but the food is good enough that you would want time to sit and enjoy it.
Service is ok… Always seem to be scrambling. Food is spotty- sometimes really good, sometimes way too salty.
Mmmm! yum!. Finally! Good Italian food in town. This unassuming little place was recommended by a friend and I’m so happy I finally tried it! Great authentic dishes, reasonable prices and nice staff. I can’t wait to try it again…so many good looking things on the menu!
Very disappointing, food and atmousphere wasn’t very Italian. Pasta dishes were more like soup. Over priced for what you get. Would never go back.
