Greta is right on! – I would skip this place. Greta’s review is spot on. This place is terrible. Everything she said was the same experience I had. And I will add that it was obvious the fish was not fresh. I ordered hotate (scallop) and it was obvious it had been frozen and thawed. Tasted terrible. The shrimp tempura seemed as if it had been cooked earlier in the day and they didn’t even bother to heat it before serving it. The tempura was cold and soggy.Other things that made this a less than stellar experience for my wife and I was that the service was almost non-existent. When we walked in there was no one at the counter which was fine but when the lady walked out she did not greet us and when I had a couple of questions she seemed as if she either didn’t know the answer or didn’t want to be bothered. On top of that the menu is way too busy. There are signs everywhere with the restaurants offerings on it. Some of these have conflicting items on them so you literally have to read each menu, sign and posted paper on the walls to figure out what you can order. With all the really good sushi restaurants in town, there is absolutely no good reason to waste your money here.
Don’t do it. Terrible sushi. I was really disappointed after ordering take-out from this place. The rice/fish ratio was way off. It was basically a loaf of badly-cooked rice, arranged around some totally average but way-too-small pieces of fish. The rice completely overwhelmed the fish. Even the totally standard, pop-sushi part of the meal– a shrimp tempura handroll– was not great. The tempura was soggy and there was way too much rice wrapped around it. On top of all of that, it was really expensive. Avoid this place.
Wow this is a great sushi place. My favorite sushi there is the uncle Jason and I recomend everyone to try it. Once you try a bit you will want more. I really like how they give you complimentry water and seaweed soup.
