Restaurant is still out of commission as of August 2015 due to fire damage in the kitchen. They have limited bar service with drinks only. Too bad since there are limited sit down options on Molokai.
Fire Damage = Limited Service in 2013. A major kitchen fire has seriously curtailed the action at Hula Shoresthey’re serving burgers and grilled mahi sandwiches (between da buns grindz) while the kitchen is being rebuilt, so not all is lost, but as of May 2013 it’s sounding like itll be 2014 before they’re able to offer a more complex menu. So, be advised. If you’re staying at the hotel, you’ll probably dine in town a bit more often than you otherwise might. Note: Aloha Fridays with Na Kupuna are still in full-effect!
Friday night was rather busy, fun with ukelele players. Saturday lunch was teri chicken. The plate was huge, the food was good, and it only cost around 10 dollars. There is a beautiful view of the ocean and the island lanai. Being one of the only bars around locals come at night to have a few drinks…which eliminates the total tourist feel.
Hula Shores Restaurant. Service was friendly. Food is well-prepared and affordable. Fried Poke appetizer gave the fish a surprisingly different taste of beef. Salad vegetables were sauteed perfectly.
