We had lunch here and it was okay. Hubby had the taco plate as well as a single Ono Fish Taco and he really enjoyed that. I had the beef taquitos and they were alright. I wasn’t blown away by the flavor. Rice was very bland but the refried beans were tasty. The food seems authentic, that is always nice to see. The staff was very friendly and the place was nice & clean.
Great stop for tacos. My wife and I ordered the fish taco plate and the shrimp taco plate and split them. The fish was well seasoned and flaky and the shrimp was cooked perfectly and succulent. We both really loved them! I was surprised at how substantial the portion was. Maybe a bit expensive ($11/plate) but the flavor was worth it. For a storefront this is a great meal.
Ohana Tacos is a very small restaurant, but the food is good. The fish tacos are my favorite. There’s little room to sit, so I would suggest taking it to go.
Bland and starchy Mexican. Service was slow. Would not recommend.
Disappointing. The fish burrito was disappointing. It was bland and closer to what I would make at home after a quick run to Safeway. I strongly suggest going to Ono Tacos up the street instead.
We had heard from friends staying at the Westin Vac Club Ocean Villas that there was an awesome fish taco truck within walking distance. When we inquired about it with the concierge and she told us that the fish taco truck had become O’Hana Tacos. The evening we went there this is what we encountered. The young man behind the counter could NOT have been more uninterested in helping us. We had to pull information from him. I can only deduct this is the owners son/nephew? NO employer would tolerate such poor customer service! It really irked me… as it’s been over a month! We had to practically beg for napkins and forks. This big oaffy kid should not be ‘working’ the front counter, as he isn’t working at all, and certainly not doing Ohana Tacos any favors. There are a few very small tables on the sidewalk, but they were too sunny for us, so took our fish tacos to the nearby beach park. The fish tacos are good, as good as most, unless you’re comparing them to Freshies, in S Lake Tahoe, CA! THOSE ARE THE BEST! The tacos are only sold as a taco plate with 2 tacos, beans & rice. I inquired about buying ala carte tacos but the oaffie kid said the price was same. Grrrr. IF we got tacos there again I would send my family to get them and save myself the grief! PS- I am NOT a high-strung person…but the kid was a JERK!
Best fish taco ever. Tiny unassuming place tucked into a strip, but the fish tacos are only perfection. Seasoned fish cooked perfectly, cole slaw with delicious sauce in a soft tortilla. If you drive by this place everyday and never stop in, you are doing yourself a disservice.
