Great lunch for reasonable price. My wife and I split the Pulled Kalua Pork and Barbecue Chicken. The serving size easily fed the 2 of us for lunch. Meal was excellent. Restaurant is small-4 tables but they do carry-out. Restaurant was very clean and tidy; I observed the waitress arranging the soda cans in the cooler so the labels were perfectly aligned to face the front!! One downside is that soft drinks are by the 12 oz. can at $1.50 each.
Best wonton noodle bowl. One of my favorite spots here is Ono Kau Kau, went their first year and instantly loved the place. Down-home cozy , everything tastes home made. Wontons are stuffed with shrimp, broth is not salty not thin . I order stir fry veggies to add to it but thats just how I like my noodle bowls chock full of everything you can jam in there.I’d ask for extra noodles if you like that, tons of wontons abound though.
Best Shrimp Won Ton Soup Bowl. Always get a bowl or two when in Ka’anapali Beach ! Everything tastes homemade. Reasonable , quick, local, delicious.
The hardest place you’ll love to find!Amazing food, great service! I don’t know how they do it, but every item was packed with perfect flavor and just the right amount of spice. Keep in mind, this is coming from a howlie, but there were plenty of locals enjoying the food as well. Highly recommend this place!!!
Delicious Value for Money. Chose to eat here after hearing about famous Hawaiian mixed plates. We ordered the beef and ono fish and the kalua pork and ono fish. Each container must have weighed in at about 2lbs – packed with delicious food. Accompaniments were macaroni salad and rice. 1 container really could have fed us both. Would recommend – delicious food at a very reasonable price.
We ate here on our first night in Lahiana and we were blown away. The Hawaiian prepared food is awesome and the soup is really great too. The services was great and we will definitely go back.
Not Good 2 months after opening. Ono Kau Kau is not Ono. Two months after opening the menu changed as did the quality of food. We who live on West Maui were finally glad that someplace new opened and was ono, but that changed quickly. To those visiting our island the difference would not be known. It is not Hawaiian, just Asian food with the touch of local plates. Sad they discontinued the Shanghai noodles and the food has become very greasy.
