This place was ok, but expensive for what you got.The meat was nice, the service was bad and the lady on the cash register was rude and grumpy. Also the place is very run down and feels dirty.
The selection of meat and vegetables is very small in this place. The meat that is available is quiet nice but it would be good to have a bigger selection. The service is almost non existent and you have to shout out over the restaurant for some service. Dessert is only vanilla soft serve that is abit melted as it comes out the machine. Also it’s not cheap
Terrible service. I traveled Oahu alone and wanted to have dinner at Camellia on 19 May 2013, because one of my korean friends told me their food was nice for try. I made a call to ask if I needed to make a reservation for myself. The male staff who answered my call said it was okay to come without booking because it was only for one person. I walked to the restaurant from my hotel on beach walk. At the restaurant, the female staff told very unkindly she couldn’t give me a table because they were busy and not able to make a table for only one person. I told her if the male staff did tell me the same, I wouldn’t have come. She did not care. However, the male staff felt sorry for me and asked me to wait. Thus, I waited for about 40minutes. in the meantime, they kept passing other groups into the restaurant. I was upset. They finally told me to come back by 8pm. (I arrived there at 6:15pm) I have never had any issue in any restaurant in Hawaii to find a table for me until then.It was terrible service and as a korean myself this is not acceptable.I did not visit them again at 8pm because their service and manners already had told me enough lessons. Terrible restaurant ever. Highly unrecommended.
Great place for the beginner or refresher. Nice selection of meats and sides. Numerours kimchi items and red lettuce for rolling. Highly recommend coming for relaxed, evening dining or small family outing.
Cook-your-own Buffet. It’s awesome all-you-can-eat and you can also cook your own food!!! I usually get the Kalbi, Spicy Pork, and that sweet rice drink. It’s so onolicious! If you wanna save 10% look for the coupon in the Star Advertiser or Midweek. I normally go at lunch time. Just a thought, don’t go there if you don’t want to smell like you just went to a BBQ like the other reviewer said.
Fulfilling. The dinner buffet at Camellia’s is awesome! Love the fact that you can cook your own food. The Kalbi and teri beef and spicy pork was so tasty. Great spread of condiments and sides. The service wasn’t that great though, but the food made up for it. If you’re planning on a night out, i suggest you do your shopping before you eat, cuz you’ll end up smelling like a bbq grill when you leave the place! other than that, I’d go back again for sure!
All I can say is that I got food Poising the last time I visited Camellia Buffet.
