If you are in Honolulu and looking for healthy, affordable food, Da Spot is a great choice. Their menu draws on cuisines from around the world, but they specialize in Mediterranean and North African cuisine. There are plenty of options for all eating styles here as well: vegetarians and vegans will find plenty to choose from, and those who require kosher or halal certified meats will find something as well. In addition to their varied selection of main dishes, sides and desserts, Da Spot also makes a wide assortment of smoothies, including an option to create your own. We chose the Egyptian Chicken with Greek salad and tabbouleh, all of which were well-seasoned and hit all the right savory notes. Portions are reasonable, and we had plenty to take home for a late night snack. thegoodheartedwoman.com
LOVE this place! Great food and reasonable prices!. Da Spot is fantastic! This place always has a fresh selection of entrees and salads… I have yet to have a bad thing here! I recommend the garlic chicken if you like something with a kick. The hummus is also great, and they sell flat bread to go with it. Just be sure to tell them early on that you want to flat bread because they make it fresh. The baklava is also on point and a great way to finish the meal. I haven’t had them, but I know people also rant about their smoothies. Cool location with great eats!
A-ma-zing!!. The best food and smoothie we’ve had in the island# highly recommended, super cheap, great quality, food looks amazing and tastes amazing! Friendly service, great people, super laid back. My husband and I loved it.
Da spot really is The Spot!. Been coming here for years! Back when they were in some whole in the wall off McCully with three little babies playing in the front of the restaurant… The owners are the most graceful and humble people I’ve ever met.. And you can tell they put all that love into their food.. Their Egyptian baked chicken put these guys on the map! Winning awards at foodie venues like The Taste of Honolulu .. And now I’m in love with their Moroccan chicken… I always get the strawberry haupia smoothy and a little baklava .. Awesome healthy salads, gyros, so much to choose from! And the prices are cheap! Anyone who says they skimp on the portions has got to be smoking something.. Go check um out for yourself 🙂
Oh WOW..what a find. Went to go to Cafe Maharani down the street but it was noisy and crowded. Walked on down the street at the recommendation of a friend and went in. Very nice wait staff, answered questions on the dishes. The food was fantastic and you can’t beat the prices or the portions. If I had had room, I would have gotten desert…but sadly had to pass. The combo plates are great. Got the green salad and the house dressing. There were 3 in our party and we all had something different. Not a bad dish amoung the group. If you like lamb, pay the extra $2 BOTH dishes were fantastic!!
Incredible shrinking portions. Food is good but portions are way too small. Used to be not so bad but every time I go in there they give me less and less food. Dont be so cheap guys! The cost of the food is minor compared to your overhead. Its stupid business practice to scrimp on the food. Youve lost me and my family as customers and will probably lose more people because you want to save a few cents on each plate. We wont be going back any time soon.Same is true of your lunch wagon on campus. I used to go there every day for lunch but the portions keep getting smaller and smaller. Dumb way to try and make more money.
