Served here is the unwanted leftovers that the tourists at the Polynesian Cultural Center luau didn’t want to eat. That being said, the restaurant has a nice ambiance to it.
Disappointing Dinner Buffet. Sunday dinner was terrible. The touted standing rib was over-cooked, tasteless and chewy. The salmon on the nigiri smelled and the rice under it compressed into a rock. If you enjoy faux Hawaiian, then this is the place for you. And the chicken and shrimp in the curry were gone long before closing. On the other hand, the martinis were great!
Not the greatest. I had a very important client that chose this place as his go to destination for every lunch we ever had together. I have eaten lunch at The Willows probably 20-25 times. $19.99 per person. The fare is local style poke, kalua pig, turkey and prime rib, different salads, lau lau, haupia and other desserts. I personally don’t like the food, but it’s edible and if you’re a big eater, you can do some damage for $20. The diners are mostly office parties for birthdays, retirements, etc. Valet parking and the people there are super nice and always remembered me. The atmosphere is very pleasant and peaceful, but I just can’t really recommend this place. Sorry.
A classic…. This place has been around since the ’40s. It closed for a while in the ’90s, but was resurrected. Popular for weddings (they have their own chapel), graduation parties, and other family gatherings, it’s low-key island style.Went recently for lunch, which was a buffet. The food was mediocre, but the ambience is pleasant enough. Very family-friendly.They have a nice bar, and a decent beer selection. Beer tastings are held once a month, or so.
