Highly Recommended. I have seen the signs for Mighty Sushi for a long time, but I admit, I judged a book by its cover… And boy do I regret it!The interior was clean with a pleasing, minimalist look while not looking baren or lacking. We were immediately greeted and menus brought to us. The menu was expansive without being overwhelming. I have been eating sushi on the Hilo side of Hawaii Island for years and it has been good, but Mighty Sushi gave us high-quality food at a beyond-reasonable price. All of the food was super fresh and tasty, the service awesome, and we will be back on a regular basis from now on. We very highly recommend Mighty Sushi! I would give it 5 stars out of 5!

Great Sushi!. This place might not look like much from the outside, but it is well worth a visit. In addition to the hell hot roll, we ordered the echo platter which seemed a little expensive but it had a great variety of rolls and was well worth the price. Everything was really fresh, the restaurant is cute and clean and the owner is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

After living in Tokyo for several years, my Japanese wife and I were absolutely ecstatic that we found this place after moving to Hilo! Try the Webster, its fantastic as is everything else we’ve tried. Guaranteed, it’s the best sushi around, period!

A gem in a small town. I was on the Big Island for 3 weeks before I tried this restaurant & now I kick myself for not going sooner & more often! This was the best sushi I had in HI. We tried a place in Hilo called Oceans Sushi Deli & it was horrible, I was almost going to wait to have sushi again til I got home to Oregon. But I love this place!I wewnt for lunch & it was surprisingly empty. The owner was very nice & patient.I ordered the Hell Hot & the Kani rolls, both were amazing!Great presentation & great tender flavorful fish. I usually dont like crab in sushi, but the way they had prepared it made it very good.As I finished my rolls, the owner sat down & spent a half hour just chatting about life in HI and different places on the mainland he had been to & where I lived. He was so nice & made me feel welcome, I could have sat for a few more rolls & more stories! The prices seemed mid-grade, and when the sushi came out, it was totally worth the price. I spent $17 & got 16 pieces of sushi…yum!I would definately go again if I were staying in HI any longer, so for our last meal out here tonight, I am going back to Mighty Sushi!!06 Jun, 2012A gem in a tiny town.
