I’m from the mainland and Sukothai is my new absolute favorite restaurant! The food is incredible! Every order is made fresh, so they accommodate to your diet and individual taste, and because of this, it does take some time to receive your food. The wait is soooo worth it. Bring in a bottle of wine, play some of the trivial pursuit questions on the table, and just relax and enjoy the company. The owner is one of the nicest sweetest women I have ever met. We absolutely love everything about Sukothai 🙂 patience is a virtue.
The Best !. We love Sukothai. We are locals and on a tight budget. We always eat out at Sukothai. We can eat there for less $ than the fast food places!! And the food is fresh, local grown mostly, and made to our taste as far as the spice goes. The Shrimp in a blanket, Green Papaya salad, Cashew chicken, and pineapple fried rice or green curry. Mmmmmmm. Relaxed, simple atmosphere. They always greet us like family even when we see them out around town. We highly recommend it !
Delicious food with Gracious Service. My husband and I stopped in Sukothai during our exploration of Pahoa. We were greeted very warmly which made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was simple and pleasant with gentle background music. We had some special requests for our order as we are on a special diet, all of which were generously accommodated. We ordered the tom yum soup, the vegetarian eggplant and the yellow curry. The order was taken with care to make sure we got the amount of hot spicy we desired without getting it too hot. The food was delicious, we ate every bite with relish. We highly recommend this restaurant.
