My favorite local place. Sam Sato’s has excellent local food. It also has my favorite plate lunch. I’m always torn as to what to order teriyake plate lunch or the Dry-mein which is awesome.

This was our first stop from the Airport after reading good reviews. Found out that they did not have vegetarian dishes and the fish dish is only served on Fridays. Went with the dry mein and had the meat removed. Too much hype, this restaurant did not deliver. My daughter had a meat dish and it also did not deliver. Fries are of the frozen variety. One wasted meal in Hawaii. Your money will buy more at leilani’s on the beach or someplace else…….take it elsewhere.

Sets the standard for dry mein. This is local food at it’s best. Usually a wait so go early.

Do not pass this place up!!!. Awesome! We dream of their dry mein! A must on Maui. Skip Mama’s fish house and save your money for Sam Sato’s. This will be the first place stopped at as soon as we get off the plane when we return.

We drove all the way from Wailea to hVe lunch here And I have to say that the food was average at best! We ordered the chow fun noodles and their dry noodles. Also they stay open only til 2 pm !

Eat Like A Local. Every time I’m in Maui I go to Sam Sato’s almost every day for lunch (double dry mein) and at least once for breakfast (banana pancakes). If only they delivered to Spokane.
