Close to Ala Moana and the Convention Center. A hole in the wall place for sushi near some strip clubs. Food was delicious and inside was a cozy, nice atmosphere. Accommodates Gluten Free / Dairy Free diets. Ask your server.

We had great expectations going to Akasaka because I had read great reviews. I was really disappointed. They served typical Japanese food items but they were mediocre. The place looks cute and the severs are friendly, but I have had better Japanese food elsewhere.
Scallop misoyaki is their signature. Unagi does melt in your mouth. Completely full and sayisfied with my lunch of ala carte scallop misoyaki and unagi avocado roll and small asahi for 29.74. Restaurant owner also recommended the tofu steak, spicy tuna roll, and butterfish misoyaki for next time I’m back (hope it’s soon!)
Really good food for the just-got-paid. Scallop Butteryaki is a rare gem. Grab a little pink bottle of Sayuri while you’re at it. The Miso Butterfish and Unagi melts in your mouth. Sushi is very good as well (Toro FTW). They’re open late night as well. Downside is they’re a little pricey.
