We came for the famous oxtail soup, but found other tasty dishes as well such as ramen. The prices are extremely reasonable; we could have dined here every meal every day. Definitely a favorite neighborhood diner
Asahi Grill has many different local style plate lunch choices, including fish choices. They also do saimin, and sushi style options. My dad absolutely loves the oxtail soup from here. It’s good to call ahead for takeout because it can get busy.

This places serves up food that the local islanders grew up with (plus a few mainland dishes). The portions are reasonable but if you’re 300-lbs plus you may need to order a side dish. I keep going back to this place.
This place has excellent oxtail soup and several other noodle soups. It’s pretty close to the Pagoda Hotel, and one could just walk across the street to go there. It’s a very small place with only a few tables, but also offers take-outs.
Everytime I come here , I oorder a same thing, Oxtail. This is special meal in this restaurant. It is worth to have it once. There are other good Japanese style foods.
