About
It's time to switch up your average Friday night Chinese dishes and trade them in for something intriguing, new, and spicy. At Chengdu Taste | , you'll enjoy mouthwatering dishes that are sure to clear your sinuses and satisfy your taste buds. Expanding to Hawaii from Los Angeles, this mini chain offers the spiciest and boldest Chinese food you can find in Honolulu, catering to locals and tourists alike. Dishes from Chengdu Taste | are created using a technique that involves poaching chicken, fish, and beef in savory oil, leaving them with an extremely tender texture. Then, the meats are infused with flavors like chili peppers and peppercorns. This Chinese restaurant is well known for their spicy citrus-infused chili sauce which creates a slow build of intensity as opposed to a fiery numbness that many Szechuan foods possess. This chili sauce is applied to unique entrees like stir-fried kidneys, cumin-infused lamb skewers, and mung bean jelly noodles.Details

No changes to menu. Must order as-is. Only vegetarian dishes are side dishes, not entrees. The potato dish was tasteless. Eggplant was best dish. My friend recommended this place but in the end I prefer Dew Drop Inn.
Authentic Sichuan food. A bit noisy inside because all the hard surfaces but otherwise not a bad place for lunch. The staff were pleasant. Loved the spicy fish in soup so much we took the leftovers home and made noodles with the leftover soup.
