Dirty Grill & Rude Owner. The bottom of our plates was black from meat being cooked on a very dirty grill, very unappetizing. Owner argued to pass off soy sauce & chili pepper flakes as gochujang. If you’re starving this place will do but I suggest finding another Korean restaurant. Bad food & rude owner makes for 1 star.
The previous owner just retired and now it’s being run by different workers and let me tell you….it’s such a friendlier and welcoming experience than before the ladies there are soooo nice and the food just tastes better too. They also did a bit of a renovation to the old booths that was there before.
I Read the reviews, I ordered take out and got the Jin Joo special. Maybe I’ll eat at the location next time, and prep myself for this mama san that claims to be the dragon lady. For $10, it’s ok, they could be a little more generous with the portions. You know they do kalbi well, you can tell they take pride in that. As for the other meats, oh well. If they do their soups as well as their kalbi, my next visit should be worth it.
The food is decent, but the service is less than polite for non-regulars. Recommend take out.
I was across the street at a bike shop when I walked out and smelled the food being cooked at the Jin Joo Korean eatery. Being lunch time I decided to give it a try. I was glad I did. I had the Jin Joo special which was about $10 or so. I was cooked as soon as I ordered it. Since they don’t sell beer we asked if we could go next door and have one with our meal and they said that we could. The food was very good and the owners were very nice. Looking forward to my 4th visit..
