You would never see this as a restaurant driving by it, but you have to eat here. Healthy options available too. Our party of 4 all had different entrees and they were excellent. The customer service is fantastic…super friendly and courteous. And, it’s true, you have to try the banana bread and carrot cake. Not that I come to HI often, but I will make sure to visit Wally’s when I do return.
Love this place. Don’t let the fact that this place is attached to a garage deter you. The food was great! My daughter’s chicken Caesar salad was one of the best she’s had and she’s a connoisseur. My 15 year old son pounded down two cheeseburgers and fries. Hamburger steak was great and the banana bread and carrot cake are to die for! Most things are around $9. Not bad for Hawaii.
I was drawn by the name alone…and when we arrived, it turned out it really was an old gas station (bonus points). FYI, it is in an awkward location and drove past it on our fest attempt. Not a lot of veggie options, but I tried the loco moco with house-made patty and the Korean garlic chicken. The loco moco was good but the garlic chicken was great. The lady working here was nice and service was quick. Worth checking out.
