Kauai grill. 25$ for 1 glass of wine!! after we had dinner i was still hungry. its ala cart so a bowl of rice is 9$ extra….
2013 Update. Love, love, love this place. While it is difficult to get out of here for under $300 per couple, it is worth every penny! We have been coming here for several years now … The chef is amazing and the service is delightful. An added bonus … Watching the sun set over beautiful Hanalei Bay with a delicious glass of wine in hand. Appetizers were the poached eggs with caviar and the foie gras brle … Holy Moley! YUM! I had a phenomenal pepper crusted big eye ahi and my husband had the wagyu tenderloin. We added perfectly delicious mashed potatoes to share. The sauces and presentation were lovely.
It holds itself out to be a high end dining experience but it is not. The ambiance fails to meet expectations, the service is average and the food is extremely disappointing. The fish I ordered tasted like fish I cook when I’m dieting, tasteless and tiny. The only high end thing about it were the prices. One drink, two entrees (no sides) and dessert $150. I wouldn’t go back if it were free.
Great Food – TERRIBLE Service. Wow – very talented chef. Both our seafood dishes were amazing. However the waitress was really a snotty and rude person. We had 1 appetizer, 2 cocktails, and 2 entrees. We spent $165 – the bad attitude was piled on for free. Would NOT got back. So not worth it.

Service was a joke our waiter was clearly badly trained and staff not up to standard of food. Food was good and glad we went not sure it’s a repeater.
