Breakfast – order off menu. We had breakfast here our first day in Kauai. We decided to skip the breakfast buffet and order right off the menu. The pork benedict was amazing! My eggs were done a little more than I prefer, but the flavor was outstanding. We also had the egg and chorizo breakfast sandwich. The chorizo wasn’t as spicy as I would have liked, but again the flavors were great.
Mediocre menu executed poorly. We ordered the 5-course tasting menu and got one course in one hour. The plates came out super hot either from heat lamps or microwave. I don’t know what the problem is here, but it wasn’t working when we visited. Shame because the hotel is beautiful.
Food was excellent if a bit expensive. Good drinks and service. The drinks were also very good. Stayed at the Westin so it was convenient as well. Good setting by the resort pool.
Went for Birthday dinner with the Family. Food was great, atmosphere great, comfortable and unpretentious. Price is high but the food was great. Hawaii after all isn’t very cheap. The pools and tikis outside add to the atmosphere and my 3 year old son loved watching the koi pond after he got restless. I had eaten at the st Regis several times and finally sopped by the westin. So glad we did. If your staying in princeville this is another great place to walk in the mornings for a cup of joe and a nice view.
Don’t waste your time for dinner. Don’t order the steaks or Prime Rib, will be disappointed. To hide the lower quality of meat used, they tend to over cook the food. After the initial roasting, they then grill the Prime Rib to char the steak to beyond recognition of it ever being a Prime Rib. The Pineapple cake was stale, it’s been sitting around for a while.
Highly recommend happy hour.. Happy hour actually took place at the pool bar instead of Nanea Restaurant and Bar and it was from 4-6 PM. Kelsey was our waitress, and she was awesome. We had two rounds of pita bread, hummus, and cucumbers, and several great local beers. Very friendly atmosphere, and I highly recommend it.
Nanea. This is my favorite restaurant on the north shore. I especially love the Salmon and Shrimp entree. Sweet Chili flavored is the best. Great location and lots of tiki torches at night.Don’t miss it.
