Ordered the Sesame Chicken and General TSO Chicken with Pork Fried Rice. Portions were more than enough to fill up four of us with leftovers. Will definitely go back when craving Chinese food.

Dissapointing… The last review has to be an employee there. THis place has all the makings to be a great Chinese restaurant if they could make authentic Chinese food. First off, we called to check to see if they had an internet menu. No, perfect! Means they’re small and like most the authentic Chinese restaurants I’ve been to over the many states and years. We found a menu on a facebook page that has been created for them. Called in a to go order of Walnut shrimp and the Dinner special. Super large menu with one lunch and dinner special. Really? SO we walk over to pickup our order and make our way back to the condo with what felt like ten pounds of food.Open the containers up and it appeared to be bland and lacking the normal color of chow mein, fried rice, fried shrimp, pot roast and spare ribs. First of all the meat was NOT trimmed and had a 1/4 inch layer of fat on every piece of meat. It was saturated in a gloppy, oily pasty looking sauce. YUK. After we trimmed the meat and decided to try it anyway, it was okay at best. The ribs had a really sweet sauce that made it better as the pot roast had a red tangy sauce to them. The chow mein was by far the worst I’ve EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Gloppy, bland and had a runny way about them. The fried rice looked like white rice with a few little morsels of veggies in them. The only thing I could ever recommend would be the Walnut shrimp. It was pretty good with the mayo cream sauce and caramelized walnuts. Had the taste of fishy shrimp indicating they were not fresh. The sauce and walnuts were close to my favorite place to eat walnut shrimp located in PHX, AZ.The next day (today) we went to finish off our $23 lesson and when I opened the container it looked like the bottom of one of those green dumpsters. The sauce had turned to a gel, the noodles to a sauce and the rice looked like last nights rice crispies left in warm milk. The shrimp however was better than when I first ate them, so I gladly polished them off.Overall I would give this place a D+. The upgrade to a D is due to the sauce and walnuts the shrimp were in and the + is due to the very friendly staff we encountered. Sorry to say SLCF, we do not recommend you and we will not be back. I hope you get it right, it’s a nice place and a nice staff.
Awesome Chinese restaurant. I have been in Hawaii for a year, best one I have been too.
