I’ve been to most of the famous filipino restaurants here in oahu like elena’s, san nicolas and jesses, and was never really impressed. When we had lunch in max’s manila it was like wow feels like home, though the menu options in the ph offers more. We had crispy pata, calamari, chicken and lumpia. The service is good and good price too.
Pricier option, but well worth the cost due to the more sophisticated meal that is provided. Chicken is a signature item. The best lechon kawali anywhere I have ever had. A busy place, so service can sometimes be slower than desired. I try to go in between peak periods. Highly recommended!
The Real Food Master. The food was bland and somewhat drenched in what seem like vinegar. I had my share of filippino food and this was the worst cooked filippino food i have ever ate. I have traveled the world and tasted many dishes. That new style infusion type of food from max of manila truly to my taste and standard i will rate it as a 4 out of 10. Believe me i had worst and even eaten rotten and bizarre foods. For a restaurant in hawaii they are the worst. Bad all around…
Food is good, I love the lecheon kawali and fried chicken. Price is affordable but service is terrible!
Service terrible.food just ok. They forgot my labanos for my salad. My pinakbet was mushy. Iam sure te chicken is good. But keep philippine native restaurants in the Philippines. Try to replicate a restaurant in the phils they need to do it right. I swear the cooks have no idea what that food is supposed to taste like.
Best fried chicken!. My husband is filipino and he was very excited of going to Max’s because we do not have it here in Miami where we live. We ordered soooo much food… adobo, lumpia, fried chicken, kare kare, white rice, garlic rice and one other soup which I do not remember the name right now. Everything was great! Our server was so awesome too!
