A bit off the beaten path of most tourist (but only 5 minutes from Haleiwa) Island X serves up some of the best Shave Ice on the island, easily the best if you want all natural ingredients. They have both the standard flavorings and a list of all natural which they prepare themselves. We shared an all natural pomegranate-mango and it was well flavored, not sicky sweet, but real fruit flavor and nicely shaved iced. We were told not be afraid to ask for extra syrup as you get down toward the bottom, but it was totally unnecessary. The Island X outlet also is the main store for Waialua Coffee and Estate Chocolate. This is great coffee grown right on Oahu (rare) and is right on par with Kona. They have numerous roasts and have samples and excellent prices that beat all the supermarkets.
