Im a self proclaimed foodie (trust me my pallet spectrum ranges from sushi uni to like bitter side dishes to chocolate cakes). 99 times out of 100, I know instantly when food is really bomb once it touches my tongue. Let me start with the positives. BEAUTIFUL LOCATION. Scenic, serene, you name it. Foliage was on point, theres a little pond in the patio seating of the restaurant. Sit there if you want to dine while absorbing the breath taking view.CONS: Thank cot the view was beautiful. I dont know what happened in the food department. Super salty, small, itty bitty portions for such a hefty price. My party ordered the moi fish, pate on crostinis, gnocchi, beet salad and 2 kids meals.Our server had explained some of the menu items, and I asked whether the salads were entree sized, she (server) said yes so I went ahead and ordered the beet salad. Once our food came, there were ONLY 2 pieces of the crostinis with pate spread AND my salad was shaped like a peeking crescent moon. I was especially disappointed with the salad size as I was told prior it was entree. Anyways, flavour was meh but I inhaled the salad because it was already 90% gone once it landed on the table (I was really hungry and was really hoping for an adequate portion). I had better beet salad elsewhere and for half the price.My sister ordered gnocchi. That stuff was TOOO SALTY. We read reviews on google maps and thought it would be a delight! But we were misled, it was gross. She also ordered a mai tai, which lacked the mai tai flavour. It was more alcoholic than tangy/citrusy/mai taiy that we all know and love.Anyways, as we finished our dinner, we tipped based on OVERALL EXPERIENCE. This includes the food, service etc. The server was offended by our tip and told us that they make a living off tip and whatever you tipped isnt enough kind of thing, to which we replied service was good (she wasnt bending over backwards for us but she did what a server was suppose to do…) but we tip base on food quality and overall experience and honestly it was mediocre. The thing that offended me was… the server came off beggish for more tip (we did add more because we felt a bit attacked by her financially charged comment). Frankly, we all struggle to work, and sometimes days are better than others (like my job as a nurse, everyday isnt going to be flowers and butterflies, but you pull through because its the industry you got yourself to work at). We tipped accordingly.In summary, food was bad, views/location were beautiful. I think its best you just come here to take all your fun, Instagram worthy pictures here and eat elsewhere. Save your money!!!!! Its not cheap. And as for the restaurant owners/partners etc, PLEASE REVAMP YOUR MENU. The food/portion sizes were terrible. Play with natural spices and decrease that sodium! We are simple people. Once weve had a first bad experience, we most likely never return to the establishment. Period.
