Great food!. My boyfriend and I decided to have date night in Waikikki last night, and at the recommendation of a trusted Starbucks barista, we tried Aloha Table. Being new to the island we wanted something off the beaten path with maybe not so many tourists. Aloha Table was just what the doctor ordered! At the recommendation of our waiter, Robzilla, we tried the corn frit for our appetizer. It was made with sweet Kahuku corn grown on the North Shore which was good, however as a whole there wasn’t much flavor. As we were waiting on our entrees some garlic shrimp walked past us that we think we’ll try next time! I ordered the breaded mahi mahi which came with a small salad that had some type of delicious vinegarette on top. Not too much and not too little. The standard mac salad, which we’re figuring out is super popular on Oahu. The mac salad seemed to be laden with mayo, but good nonetheless. Then there was the mahi. It was fried katsu style, and not greasy at all with a wonderful garlic tartar sauce for dipping. My boyfriend ordered the sauted mahi that came in a coconut curry sauce that was delightful. It wasn’t too spicy and had just enough flavor. For dessert we ordered the creme brle and the tiramisu. Both were very good, although the tiramisu had some weird coffee slush in the middle and a coconut ice cream on the bottom. Overall a great spot that’s off the beaten path. The staff was extremely attentive without being overbearing and all too happy to answer any questions that we had about the menu and anything on it as well as about things to do around the area. We will definitely be back and will take others with us!
I was disappointed with the Loco Moco, it was more like eggs on salsbury stake. The mahimahi was good.
Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, food was very flavorful.
I thought it was okay, staff didn’t know to much English, the garlic shrimp had the legs and shell still attached but the sundae we had was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!
Off the beaten track, but worth it. Food is delicious, service is fast and friendly
Nice Spot. Exactly what i wanted. An inexpensive taste Of Hawaii. The food was great and the service was good. Nothing over the top. I would deffinitely recommend this.
Excellent. The food was excellent and the service was rather attentive. The curry is good, albeit not very spicy. Outdoor covered seating is available, which is quite pleasant during the early evening when light showers and the night breeze come in. Prices are also quite reasonable, especially given the quality of the food. Most entrees are under $10 US and are quite good, although the coffee and desserts, while excellent, are considerably more pricey. The menu is rather diverse as well, so it is likely that you or your party can all find something to enjoy. There isn’t much of a view since it is located directly behind a parking deck and between a pair of shops on a side street… however it is away from the bustle of downtown Waikiki. Be aware there is a $2 US sharing charge, and most entrees are served in family-style bowls along with individual plates, encouraging sharing. On the whole an excellent experience.
