The Hale Koa’s Warrior Lounge has a good happy hour in a nice setting with entertainment four nights a week, rotating between a Sinatra impersonator, a magician, and a comedy show. Margaritas are just $4.50 and pints of draft go for $3.50 while 22 ouncers are a mere $4.50. Pupu (snacks) run between $5 for nachos and $7.50 for sliders, fish and chips, and chili cheese fries among others.Coming from the Happy Hour Capital of the World – Portland, Oregon – where you get a burger and fries for $5, I must say that the pupu here did not compare. The fries were scarce and even scarcer were the chili and cheese and the nachos were a bit of a disappointment as well. The sliders were decent, but a tad overpriced at $7 in my opinion. The service was excellent and the surroundings supreme. Throw in some free popcorn and you have a quality, relatively cheap happy hour (by Honolulu standards).CombatCritic Gives Warrior Lounge (Hale Koa) 6 Bombs Out Of 10 … More Bombs Are Better! combatcritic.com

THE BEST Breakfast buffet ever. I’ve eaten at a lot of buffet spreads, the Hale Koa crushed all of them. At $26.95 for adults and $12.95 this meal is the deal of the century on Waikiki! So many choices, thick succulent slices of rack of lamb, prime rib, sushi, fresh fruits, piles of fresh hot bacon, thick slices of ham, Benedicts, nicely browned potatoes on banana leafs, perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, pastries to die for, bottomless champagne glasses, fresh juices, salads, fresh coffee, deserts deserts deserts. There was not a single item that had the mass produced buffet flavor. Service was fantastic, par excellance! Our entire table agreed that this was a fantastic meal. The Sunday Brunch at the Hale Koa has reset the bar for breakfast buffets!
