Outstanding!. My wife and I were staying at the Halekulani during our honeymoon in late June and selected Le Mer for our romantic dinner. We were not disappointed. We started with a delicious cocktail at the bar then moved to our table overlooking the ocean for dinner. We decided to try the Menu Degustation along with the suggested wine pairing. While it was not inexpensive (I believe it was $235/person for the Menu plus $90/person for the wine), it was absolutely unique and delicious, from the amuse bouche through to the dessert. It is definitely not a dinner you can have every week, or probably not even every month. But for a special occasion, it is totally worth it. Each course had it’s own character, and the wine pairings worked perfectly. We absolutely loved our experience.
Outstanding Brunch. Note – this is for Halekulani (House without a key) Brunch only – not Le Mar dinner. Might be miscategorized but you can’t go wrong at either!I grew up going to hotels in Waikiki for special occasion meals. This is the best now that Sheraton’s Hano Hano room is closed. The view is picture perfect, the food is outstanding, the service well above bar for Hawaii. Wedding, Anniversary, BDay, Mothers Day? Go Here.
Fantastic dining experience. Great food, excellent service. Food is exquisite; Hawaiin ingredients and French inspiration. Expensive but worth the visit as a one-off.
A True Dining Experience. Starting from the moment you sit down, La Mer is feast for the senses. The food, service and setting, is something one has to experience at least once!
One of the Best. My husband and I love to try new restaurants. We tried La Mer when we were trying to show his mother a good time in Hawaii. This place is by far the best we have tried so far. The food flavors all meld together perfectly. The portion sizes are perfect. This is not one of those fancy places you go to eat then leave still hungry. The dishes are unique and you can tell that the chef took time to make sure you leave knowing this was not your everyday experience. The service is exceptional. The view is gorgeous. The total experience is well worth the price. We have decided to treat ourselves with La Mer no less than every six months.
Im speechless when i talk about La Mers!!!!! It is a best kept secret. Its the most romantic resturant I’ve ever been to!!!! We had a four course meal, complimetry dessert, and unlimited bread(3 choices) & i love bread! lol. VERY VERY highly recommended, pricy but WORTH every penny!
Food – fantastic! Service – outstanding! Atmosphere – the best. This is our favorite restaurant in Hawaii. It is a bit pricey but the food, service, and atmosphere are worth every penny. FYI, one of the few places in Waikiki where a coat and tie is appropriate!
