I had a single scoop of Nene Tracks ice cream which was more than enough for two people. I had it in a chocolate cone which had a filing in itself which was quite interesting. The unique part of this ice cream was peanut butter, $6 is a good price for ice cream especially where the cafe is located.

Green tea latte and chai tea latte are good but would have been better if they offered soy milk. Chai is especially fragrant and spices can be smelt from outside the cafe.Green tea ice cream is quite good but the lychee sorbet is too sweet. Single scoop ice cream is huge for one person. The waffle cone is nice and crispy and freshly made.

Coffee is decent for American style coffee (wouldn’t rate a mention in Oz) and although they style themselves on ice cream and pastry, surprisingly they’ve got a very small and uninspired selection to choose from, go figure

Pretty much every night while we were in Hawaii we got an ice cream from Lapperts Hawaii. There are some many flavours of ice cream to choose from and fresh coffee beans to buy. The small ice creamery can get insanely busy at times but it is worth the wait.

Prime Location – Good Coffee & Ice Cream. Lappert’s is right across from the open air lobby of the Hawaiian Village. There is tons of foot traffic. Morning lines can be long for coffee and pastries. Afternoon and evening lines are sporadic. I tried their ice cream, Blue Kona coffee, and iced coffee on different visits. I enjoyed all of them. Prices are high, but it’s a resort location in a high foot traffic area.
