Great meal, quick and friendly service. Husband and I walked right in from the beach and were seated right away. The ahi steak was amazing! Order it rare and you won’t be disappointed. Best meal we’ve had all week!
Great place for date night. The food and service were excellent. Ahi steak was cooked to perfection. The seafood dynamite appetizer is a must!
Delicious christmas. We enjoyed a very good dinner for christmas. 10 minutes walk from Kalakaua. We could hear the waves. Good meal, nice wines. A little bit expensive, but it’s waikiki…
Waited over 2 hours trying to get a table. Was told only a 45 minute wait..ruined my plans for the evening..
This place was expensive but it’s right on the beach and honestly was very. yummy. Had local big Hawaii fish which was about 35 dollars for the dish. I don’t remember the name of the fish but it was a whitish fish and delicate. Not over cooked which some places tend to do. I picked ranch dressing for my salad instead of the guava dressing. In general this place I would come back to it if we could afford it every day. Martini was about 10 dollars and you pay for side items like vegetables or a salad which runs about 7 dollars
Nice Evening by the Ocean. We were attracted to Ocean House because I wanted to eat a nice dinner while watching the sunset. If you want to be on the outside wall you must call and make reservations, but you can see the sunset from most tables inside the restaurant. Water service was slow, but our waitress was friendly and accommodating. We split a sushi roll, I had the Opah and my husband had the Mahi Mahi. All the fish was very fresh and well-prepared. My polenta was very flavorful. They heard it was our anniversary, so the hostess stopped by and took our picture, which they gave to us at the end of our dinner. Altogether, a very nice evening.
Why the great ratings?. We had dinner there last night, March 19,2013. We did not have a reservation so we were prepared for a wait. Told we had to wait 30 minutes but it only took 15 minutes. When we were seated there were numerous empty tables and banquettes. Why the wait? We waited for a waiter to bring us water, menus, something and that took about 15 minutes. Many of them walked by but no one asked us anything. Once we ordered the food came quickly. The dish was Luke warm and way too much salt on the vegetables. Overall the service was poor and the food was mediocre. I would not recommend this restaurant.
