This is a VEGAN restaurant. Do not be fooled by the menu. Every meat item listed if faux meat. Most vegan restaurants that I have been to embrace and promote their vegan-ness. These folks choose to be vague and then explain away the fact that their pepperoni is really dragon fruit. No thanks. When I want a pepperoni pizza and you list one on your menu, then I expect you to sell me a pepperoni pizza.
We dealt with an incredibly gracious staff member who checked up on us regularly… however that was because we had to wait 1.5 hours for our pizza (with about three orders ahead of us). Luckily the pizza was delicious!
Rudest most Un-Aloha staff in Waikiki. I order food delivery from restaurants in Waikiki and Honolulu 4-5 times per week and decided to try The Lovin Oven for a change since they are so close to me and appeared to have legitimate good reviews. First of all they don’t have a website with a menu so you have to go to a partial menu on waikikimenus.com or look at the pictures from yelp. Even then those sites don’t include all items and prices that they have on the menu. The woman on the phone was the rudest order taker I have ever encountered. Rather than give me any additional info or tell me the specials she told me to call back once I figured out what I wanted from yelp or waikikimenus. Even though I still didn’t know everything they had on the menu I chose what looked to be available on yelp and waikikimenus. I called back to place the order, and it was if she was disappointed I was placing an order. She said if I wanted it delivered I would have wait out on the street for them and then they will hand me the food from the car window yet they charge a 20% fee for delivery. Shocked I asked for the manager and she said she is the manager. Needless to say I did not order from them as I have never heard of a delivery company charging $25 for a 16 inch pizza and 20% more for delivery but make you sit on the street and wait for them to come and toss it to you out the window. If this is the quality of service they give to people trying to order from them I can only imagine the quality of their food. Luckily their are at least 20 pizza places with better prices that know the meaning of Aloha and they actually deliver to your door.
Fantastic!!!. Not only was the pizza delicious, the service was wonderful!
Solid spot. If you are a pizza snob and lookin for your fix you can’t go wrong with this place even by mainland standards this is good pizza. The only thing I’m dinging them on is the fact they don’t take credit card otherwise it’s pretty all around great. After 7pm or so they will cater to the street and sell by the slice. I recommend trying the Hawaiian pizza and their Italian gelato. The place is BYOB
