This place is pretty great. The decor kinda sucks but the atmosphere is good. The clams were really good and so were the poke nachos. I really liked the lobster bisque but there isn’t any lobster in it. Weird. The surf and turf was down right amazing! From the steak to the fish to the sauce, it was all incredible.
Not an inexpensive place (my son and I dropped about $150) for dinner the other night) but service was outstanding and food was delicious. We both had the surf and turf. The steaks were done perfectly and delicious.
Excellent restaurant. Food was very good. Everyone raved about their dishes. Ono, wahoo, swordfish, ahi all well prepared. One person in our party had food allergies. Server and chef were very accommodating to meet her needs. Staff was very friendly. We were seated in the entrance of the restaurant (since we didn’t have reservations) so we weren’t able to evaluate the overall atmosphere.
We had a fantastic Christmas dinner in this place. Even though, the restaurant was overbooked two weeks in advance, menager agreed to seat us in lobby area which was absolutely fine and enough. We tried several aperitifs from the drinks menu, at least. Later on we experienced great taste of fried dumplings stuffed crab meat, ahi ahi nachos, premium rib eye and fish fillet served with shrimps (recommended by the waiter). I didn’t have any space left in my stomach, so I had to skip the dessert. Overall impression was awesome. I regret we discovered this place at the end of our holiday.
Food was very good. We had the rib appetizer, Wally salad, mushroom and leek soup, Filet Mignon and Prime Rib. We did not have reservations, so we sat at the bar. Service was very good.
We ate here and did the tasting menu which is available between 5:00 and 5:45. The tasting menu is a 5 course meal paired with different wines.The food was wonderful, however my advice is no matter how much you want that fruity umbrella drink or want to eat more than a half piece of their wonderful bread don’t. The tasting menu is quite filling and if you fill up on other items you won’t get to completely enjoy.
Best on Kauai. We were here for two weeks and ate dinner out every night. This was by far, again by far, the best dinner from appetizer to dessert we had on the island. The calamari is the most tender I have ever had. It will ruin you for normal restaurant calamari.
