The service was very good, the food was good, the love music was painful to listen to.
Entrees & drinks were Great!. We enjoyed the Prime Rib Au Jus & the steamed Chilean Sea Bass thoroughly! The demeanor of the woman who sat us had a bit more customer service attitude to be desired. But our server was ideal! Great food coming out of that kitchen!
Look elsewhere. The way the food was prepared was sinful. The airport food I had at the Lihue airport was way better than the food here. DO NOT EAT AT LEMONGRASS GRILL. All 4 of us that dined had the same experience. Even the drinks weren’t very good.I had the seafood stew. The shrimp was as chewy as a pencil eraser, the scallops had less flavor than a rice cake, the crab was as soft as a noodle and the white fish – I think it was fish jerky . It tasted like they boiled everything, threw it in used dishwater, added some tomato soup and then served it up.There are many other fine restaurants on the island both more expensive and less expensive and all are a better choice. Wish we had looked at reviews first, but lesson be learned…
Worst meal we had in 2 weeks.
Enticing menu. I missed coming here last year because I thought the portions weren’t right, the prices were high and I didn’t think the food was fresh enough. So I decided to try the restaurant again this year. My opinion hasn’t changed … Although I like this place something is just not right. As the waiters passed by me with plates of food I noticed that ammonia fish smell as they went by … I commented to my partner that that odor was not the odor coming from fresh fish. I ordered the appetizer ribs. Delicious tasting but at home several hours later I sat up in bed with huge indigestion and an aftertaste of the ribs.. After several tums I was able to settle my stomach down… For entries we had the scallops … They weren’t over cooked you got six medium size scallops for 22 bucks… For dessert I decided to try the coconut cream pie … They only offer three desserts … Save your money … No dessert. So if you want to blow 100 bucks which included one cocktail, one dessert and tip go to this place… The food and service is mediocre and thre overpriced … But still I’d probably revisit in a couple of years just to see if things get better.
Food was absolutely amazing service was wonderful and drinks were just perfect not sure about the other reveiess but this was a definite yes!! Better than wahoo down the street!!
Food was wonderful. Four dinners that we were all super impressed with. Nice presentation & service was very good Live music was also very good. Would definitely go back & recommend
