Yummy tacos at Monicos! I recently went here for lunch and got myself some fish tacos. Fish of the day was Mahi (?). It was so yummy! It wasn’t battered like I expected, so it was a nice surprise. There were actually 4 soft taco shells on the plate with enough filling for them all. Amazing value! The beans were great and adding in the rice made for a really tasty meal. I would definitely come back!!! Mmmmm. My drink was really yummy too. Get here if you can. There’s a little outside eating area. The local area doesn’t provide much ambiance, so you could think of it as a little gem. 🙂

Best Mexican seafood dishes ever. Monicos… some of the best food on the island. The seafood dishes (burrito, fajitas, fish taco, etc) are incredible. Best shrimp, scallops, and fish (Ono, Ahi, etc, varies weekly) anywhere on the island. The fish taco is unique, finely shredded cabbage, vs the typical thick version. The difference is amazing. Must try these. Be sure to try the jalapeo crema sauce (order some on the side). It’s mild and goes well with anything. If you want more heat try the habanero salsa available upon request. Hawaiian avocados add unique flavor to the guac, so it’s a must try. Frozen margaritas are great (try the liliquoi). There is limited seating (30+inside) so during peak hours there can be a short wait. Great food isn’t fast and vice versa. Go here for the unequaled flavors (of the seafood dishes in particular). FYI, most entrees have large portions you won’t finish anyway. One trade off for being on a tropical island, food is expensive, so don’t expect lots of freebies. This helps keep prices reasonable, and avoids wasted food. Be mindful, take an extra $5, relax, and enjoy some of the best food around.
