Love love this place. Located in a small shopping center in Kapaa. I eat here everything I visit Kauai. The stuffed sopapillias are the best! Juicy meat. Fresh veggies and herbs. Crunch fried topping. Amazing verde sauce! The honey sopapillias are pretty fantastic also.
Al Pastor burrito was delicious and filling. The 22oz draft beers were well priced and service was prompt and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for some Mexican with a local twist on the east side of the island.
Green chili is more spicy than jalapeos, so be aware this is New Mexican (the state) food, not Mexican. The fresh catch burrito with blackened fish was mildly spicy. Pretty good. Service was friendly. Prices higher than should be for the type of food.
Excellent Mexican food. Verdes food is on the upper limit of my heat scale. However, I really enjoyed their food. I had the stacked veggie enchiladas with chicken. My husband had a mahi-mahi burrito. Both were excellent. We drank their non-alcoholic lemonade which was very good.The service was excellent. The staff works as a team to make sure your needs are met.This is not a place to order an alcoholic drink if you want a craft cocktail. I saw the bar tender pouring the margarita mix out of a Kirkland bottle.
Breakfast Burrito. Amazing breakfast burrito with pork or bacon. Filled with refried beans, eggs, bacon, cilantro, and a mild or spicy sauce.
Go here!. Although placed in a shopping mall (common in Kauai it seems), this place is unique and tasty. The staff and owner are welcoming and personable, they serve drinks in Mason jars and tequila shots in tiny jars with agave, salt, and a mixture of spices and lime. We got the stacked enchiladas with fish and it was delicious! We weren’t starving, so the owner recommended we split a plate. We discovered this spot on our last night in kapaa and so wish we had heard about it earlier! Great spot for a younger crowd (drinks go down easy!) as well as families. Would be the first spot I’d recommend in Kauai for food!
Food was great as was the staff. Didn’t get his name but the tall thin waiter was very hyper and hilarious. We called ahead to see if we needed a reservation as we had a party of 7. He said we didn’t, but to let him no what time we would be there which it did. Restaurant is very small and when we walked up there were people waiting to be seated. When we walked in our table set up for 7 was waiting for us. All I can say is WOW!
