THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON WHAT I WITNESSED AN EMPLOYEE DO, NOT ON THE FOOD.I just got home from Jojos and while the shave ice and the frosty are good, I watched an employee (heavy set girl wearing glasses and a strapless romper) pour the frosty that was left in the blender from my own drink and pour it into her own personal cup and drink it. I understand that my cup could only fit so much but since I paid for it, either offer it to me in another cup or wait until I leave the store. that, and the 25 minutes it took to get 1 drink and 3 shaved ice means I won’t be back. I’ll go to the ice cream place 3 doors down.
Used to be the best on the planet. Now it is awful. Bummer.
We just got back from our Kauai vacation. Reading all the reviews, we had to go to Jo-Jo’s (what I didn’t know is that there are two Jo-Jo’s). This place is one of the best on the island for shave ice. I don’t even like snow cones but this is truly amazing with yummy flavors and delish maca-nut ice cream. YUM!!! Negatives: over-run with tourists, looks dirty and the guys are pretty rude.
Big bang for your buck!!! My husband and I were parched after a wild boat tour and this hit the spot. We had gone to a shaved ice place the day before, but this place gave us twice the ice for the same price:)
The ice cream in the middle gives this shaved ice great texture. Very tasty.

Don’t stop here go around the corner just past the souvenir shops to the real jojo’s. It’s much better because they make their own syrups and they have better service than the other jojo’s.
