Loved it!. Last year on vacation we stopped at Yumi’s for pies on the way to Waimea Canyon and the historic Waimea Walking Tour. The pies (apple or coconut hand pies) were amazing! While we were there, my daughter (9) looked at the menu, and apparently she liked what she saw because she talked us into going back to Yumi’s for a late lunch after all our sightseeing. We ordered the Lava Burger (which is an amazing burger filled with cheese) and fries. Gina, the owner, was really friendly and cooks everything herself. At the end of the meal she brought out brownies for the kids. It was a great experience, and the best burger I have had on Kauai. My kids still talk about Yumi’s. We stay in Princeville when we are on Kauai, but I am sure we will be taking a drive to Yumi’s again this year to have Lava Burgers. Thanks, Gina!
Very good local place. Make sure you go to Yumi’s if you want a good, filling, inexpensive breakfast or lunch at a place the locals go for their meals. Cozy and clean with very friendly staff. Pretty small menu but plenty of good choices for a delicious breakfast or lunch, and it is alll prepared fresh and with care by the owner herself.
