Boycot Molly’s. Looked up the menu online and looked good. The prices looked reasonable. I called in a phone order for 4 of us. BUT…….when someone went to pick it up the prices DOUBLED and they said the online prices were old.THE WORST part is when we got our food it looked like a pupu plater instead of a dinner plate.NOT A WORTH IT. Plus the BBQ sauce looked and tasted store bought and not home made. We ordered the brisket and it was so tough liked it was only smoked 2 hours
The Barbecue Wings Were Delicious As We’ll As The Fresh Out Of The Oven Corn Bread. The Ribs Were Very Good Too. We Came Close To Eight On & Thought They Might Be Closing But The Food Was Soo Good. The Fresh Lemonade Brought Childhood Memories. But The Very Best Was The Service! Maryann Was Kind And Patient With Us. My Teenage BoyS absolutely Loved It!
Let me start with I have been going to Molly’s for a long time and have watched the restaurant change over time. The ribs and catfish are still good, but tonight’s experience was not so pleasant. Getting drinks was quick; thanks to the dishwasher coming from the back to help out. next time loss the plastic apron and headphones; however, he would have loved for him to take care of us the rest of the night because no one else was. Had to flag down the dishwasher to get a refill; really it’s empty at the edge of the table begging to be refilled. Might want to cool down the ice tea, so it does not melt the ice. The kitchen was very responsive. Once food was ordered it came out quickly, except the spicy shrimp I ordered. The cowboy tried to be polite and let everyone know he was slammed, but having conversations with customers does not help being slammed. I’m not going to remember the cowboy’s personality rather the 30 plus minutes I waited after I was done with my meal to get my ticket, which I never received. Instead, I figured my own ticket, left money on the table and left. So my memory is of waiting, and waiting, and waiting and then a slip of profanity. On another note, the brisket was not as good. Too much fat cap and not pull apart tender. I will be desperate for BBQ, or have to hear that the customer service has dramatically improved before I return to Molly’s.
Go For the Catfish. As someone from the greatest BBQ place on the planet—Kansas City, Mo—-I try not to eat BBQ in places that aren’t noted for BBQ…..yes, they have devotees….but they aren’t ME. I really enjoyed Molly’s Smokehouse. My catfish was excellent. The gumbo I shared with my daughter was tasty—-but not up to N’Orleans quality. Still, refreshing after a week of seafood. Very clean, freindly restaurant.
The service was absolutely terrible at this place. When my friends and I ordered our food, the waitress came back 15 minutes later to say the meat was unavailable. Also, we ordered ranch with our okra, and when it came out we had no ranch. The waitress said the manager said they weren’t going to give us the sauce even if we wanted to pay for it. This should have all been mentioned at the time we ordered our food…and the manager was rude. I know the group of us will not be returning. The food was bland also.
Get the southern style!!!. I’m a hawaiian girl, lived in the carolinas for years. molly’s is good, but you should come to my house….oh yeah, baby!!!
Bad Day @ Molly’s. It was our first time in the restaurant. We decided to eat there because of the good things we heard about it. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Our experience was absolutely horrible. We first got in the restraurant and sat ourselves. Then we waited for about 15 minutes befor the only waitress in there took our order. No it was not busy. So when finally ordered, everything seemed to going good at this time. But all of a sudden the waitress came back another 15 minutes later and stated that they didn’t have what I wanted. To make a long story short. I went back and forth with the waitress trying to get something on the menu. But the answer was we don’t have that or it’s going to take twenty minutes to cook. I am like wow, what kind of restaurant does not have 3 of the main courses on the menu available. After we finally finished with our lunch, my food was suppose to be only about 10 dollars. The owner charged me 14 bucks. So needless to say I didn’t leave a tip for the waitress. Also parking is very limited to about 3 spaces in the front and five in the back (where your vehicle is out of view.) Restrooms were also dirty. On a scale of 1 to 10 I will give the food about a five and the service about a 2.
