Will never go back!! service, in the middle of the day, horrible. second round of drinks were served in the same glasses, not clean ones. my wife and i had long islands, her second drink came with 2 lemon slices in it from her first drink. nachos had no cheese, way too many beans, and absolutely zero jalapenos, as advertised and no sour cream or guacamole. black bean queso looked like canned beans, and not enough cheese. we had to ask for silverware twice, had to go inside to get service from the bartender, who was not present. all of this while only ours and one other table were occupied. un-freeking-believeable!!!!!!!not worth anyones time to even look at this place, let alone eat there!!!!
Food Sucks!. I have been here before and the food was good then. They have a good selection of irish beers though. I recently visited this place again and it sucks big time. Too loud live band. Food sucks double big time. The fish and chips I got was dripping oil. They do not have Halibut burger on their menu anymore. What kind of a bar is it without a fish/seafood burger! They do not have other good food too. Good luck Ha Penny. Your food menu sucks. NO wonder why you are constantly running a groupon deal!
The food is good, but not outstanding, traditional fare. The service has been ridiculously slow every time, as well. However, I don’t know where to get some of the comfort foods elsewhere in Boise, so I’ll keep going back. It’s not terrible.
This place has really gone downhill. I have been going here for years and I think the ownership must have changed in the last few years, because the quality and customer service have become nonexistent. Stay away!
Greasy bar fare…. …masquerading as Irish pub food, and at gastropub prices. Great place to grab a pint if you don’t mind a substantial markup in price. They will also automatically add a tip to the bill if you’re with a group, even if you’ve been tipping them each round. Bennigan’s is better than this. goodtastebadtaste.com
Alarms bells rang when the Guiness pour took 20 seconds and I located three exits to the building when I saw a Sushi menu. (not kidding) The Guiness was bitter from age,pour, and temp, and the Shepards pie was just too salty with a non traditional recipe.
Guinness anyone. A great place to take a seat grab a few pints of Guinness and some Delicious lamb stew. Probably my favorite place for lunch downtown.
