Won’t give free water??? Are you serious. I love this place, but after being gone awhile and coming back to Boise, I was looking forward to coming back. However, when I came in the prices have gotten higher and the staff is always stressed and not that friendly. And when we ordered instead of a drink, they said that they only have bottled water to sell and nothing else. I was quite appalled, I have NEVER been to a restaurant that doesn’t provide free water (Heck, even like 50 cents is alright to cover the cup cost). And what makes it more ridiculous is that I can see that they have a water spout at their fountain drinking station. Like I said, I love the for here, but their higher prices, indifferent staff, and money grubbing ways of not giving water to people is the reason for this review.
How did this place get good reviews? Floor and tables filthy. Sauces come premixed in plastic cup. Broth only fair.
Where’s the Basil?. Twice i have been to this restaurant and ordered there Pho. This soup is suppose to be accompanied with Basil. If You know your Pho, Then you should understand what a significance it is with the soup’s flavor. It is advertised with it. After the second time ordering this soup from this establishment, and again being told sorry no more Basil after taking my money, i returned it and will not return. No other restaurant where i have ordered Pho soup has left Basil out, or run out of Basil. Again this is a key ingredient to the soups flavor.
Great sandwiches and Vietnamese coffee, but really gross egg rolls. Just grab a sandwich.
My new favorite place. The BBQ Pork sandwhich is a now my favorite thing is this town to eat paired with a staming bowl of Pho next to it. I love the way the do it the right way, by serving you bowl of broth with the meat and all of the condiments on the side. They even give you the raw beef to add you self and just barely cook in the warm broth. Hate to say it but deli George is now a close second to this place for sandwhiches.
Very pleased!. Having said for years that I wish Boise would get a Vietnamese Deli I am so happy it finally happened. The selection isnt as big as you would find in your larger cities but they do a great job with what they do have. They also serve up a great bowl of Pho.
Great prices, good selection of meat and vegetarian options (great for couples where one is vegetarian and one is not), fresh baguettes. Highly recommend!
